Chlorimuron Ethyl and Metsulfuron Methyl are sulfonylurea herbicides that inhibit acetolactate synthase, also called acetohydroxyacid synthase. This blocks an essential plant process in susceptible weeds. HRAC classifies both active ingredients as Group 2. Although Almix contains two actives, they share the same classified target site and must not be presented as two different modes of action.

DAT means days after transplanting. PHI means pre-harvest interval. The current physical Almix label is the final authority for use directions and restrictions.

• Use only in transplanted rice under the verified pre-emergence 3-DAT direction.
• Measure the treated land area and calibrate the sprayer to deliver 20 g product and 300 L water per hectare.
• Do not convert the direction into a universal g/L, knapsack-tank or sachet-per-tank dose.
• Do not publish dry-seeded rice or 3–5-leaf weed-stage use until a current approved label resolves the public-source conflict.
• Do not add a grass herbicide, adjuvant or another input unless the current labels explicitly permit that exact use.

Both Almix active ingredients are HRAC Group 2, so the premix applies one classified site-of-action pressure. Avoid repeated reliance on Group 2 in the same field. Use integrated weed management, monitor control, remove escapes before seed set, keep field records and, where another herbicide is justified, select only an effective different-group product registered for the crop and weeds under its own label.

Read and follow the current Corteva Almix pack label before use. Avoid skin and eye contact and breathing dust; wear the label-required PPE. Keep the product and spray away from drains and waterways because the Corteva-hosted SDS classifies Almix as very toxic to aquatic life with long-lasting effects. Follow the label’s first aid, re-entry, storage, disposal, drift, application-limit and rotational-crop directions. Do not use Almix for an unlisted crop, weed or purpose.
