1. Cartap action: Cartap hydrochloride blocks insect nicotinic acetylcholine receptor channels, interrupting normal nerve and muscle signalling.
2. Emamectin action: Emamectin benzoate modulates glutamate-gated chloride channels, producing neuromuscular disruption and paralysis in susceptible larvae.
3. Resistance stewardship: Barroz already contains Groups 14 and 6. Do not automatically follow it with another Cartap, Bensultap, Thiocyclam, Emamectin or Abamectin treatment. If another intervention is necessary, choose a separately applied product from a different effective IRAC group whose own Indian label covers rice and the target pest.

Company timing guide: apply at 15-25 days after transplanting in South and East India, or 25-35 days after transplanting in North India. ADAMA's literature also warns against making a second Barroz application after 35-40 days after transplanting. These timing statements do not replace the 35-day PHI.

• Measure the label dose accurately. Mix the granules with dry sand and broadcast the mixture uniformly as directed by the current pack.
• Do not dissolve Barroz in a spray tank, publish an ml-per-litre conversion, or treat its 3 kg pack as a liquid application.
• No fertilizer-mixing or tank-mix recommendation is made here. Related and rotation products are standalone alternatives under their own labels.
• ADAMA specifically instructs users to wear safety hand gloves during application. Follow the current pack for all additional PPE, hygiene, first-aid, storage and disposal directions.
• The Registration Committee requires the warning that the product is highly toxic to bees exposed to direct treatment; avoid application during active bee foraging. It is also very toxic to aquatic invertebrates. Prevent granules, runoff and containers from contaminating water bodies.
