ADAMA Bipimain Insecticide: Product Overview

ADAMA Bipimain is a suspension-concentrate insecticide and acaricide containing Buprofezin 25% SC. ADAMA describes contact and stomach action and lists chilli, cotton, grapes, mango and rice as its Indian crop scope.

IRAC classifies Buprofezin in Group 16, inhibitors of chitin biosynthesis, type 1. It is an insect growth regulator: ADAMA states that it inhibits moulting of susceptible nymphs and larvae. The company also states that it suppresses oviposition and that treated insects lay sterile eggs. These developmental and reproductive effects must not be rewritten as a claim of instant adult kill.

Bipimain is not an all-crop, all-mite or all-sucking-pest product. Each crop is tied to the exact pest, formulation rate, spray-water volume and pre-harvest interval in the current Government of India major-use table. The current physical ADAMA pack remains the final authority.

Why farmers choose itWhy Choose Bipimain?
  • Verified active and formulation: ADAMA confirms Buprofezin 25% in a suspension concentrate.
  • Defined life-stage action: the verified mode of action focuses on disruption of moulting in susceptible immature stages.
  • Five registered crop groups: checked records align on cotton, chilli, mango, grapes and rice.
  • Crop-specific directions: official formulation rates, water volumes and PHIs are available for every listed crop row.
  • Clear resistance identity: IRAC Group 16 makes it possible to distinguish same-active comparisons from genuinely different-group program alternatives.

Product scienceHow Buprofezin Works
  1. Exposure occurs: ADAMA describes Bipimain as having contact and stomach action against susceptible targets.
  2. Moulting is disrupted: Group 16 activity interferes with chitin-related development, so susceptible nymphs and larvae cannot complete normal moulting.
  3. Population development is affected: ADAMA also reports suppression of oviposition and sterile eggs from treated insects.
  4. Assessment must match the mode of action: Bipimain is not presented as a fast adulticide. Scout the crop and evaluate the listed immature stages and new damage according to label guidance.

Another Buprofezin product remains IRAC Group 16 even when its trade name, supplier or pack size differs. Moving from Bipimain to Allfall is therefore a same-mode substitute, not a resistance rotation.

PHI means pre-harvest interval. Hectare rates and water volumes are retained in their official units; no universal per-acre, per-litre or 15-L-pump conversion is invented. Mango is the only row expressed as formulation per litre with water per tree. Always follow the matching crop row on the current physical pack.

How to applyApplication and Resistance Stewardship
  • Confirm the crop, target pest and pest life stage before treatment. Buprofezin's principal verified action is on moulting immature stages.
  • Measure the treated area and use the exact formulation rate and spray-water volume for that crop. Do not infer coverage from the 250 ml, 500 ml or 1 litre pack size.
  • Use clean, calibrated foliar-spray equipment and obtain the label-directed coverage of the target zone while preventing drift and runoff.
  • Do not underdose, overdose or transfer the mango per-litre direction to field crops. Do not transfer one crop's PHI to another.
  • Avoid repeated Group 16 treatments against successive pest generations. A different trade name containing Buprofezin is still Group 16.
  • No tank-mix, compatibility or simultaneous-use recommendation is made. Every Related or Upsell entry below is a standalone comparison for a separate, label-directed application.
Use with careSafety, Storage and Environmental Care
  • Read the current ADAMA Bipimain label and leaflet before opening. Wear every item of personal protective equipment required on the pack while measuring, spraying and cleaning equipment.
  • Avoid inhalation, ingestion and contact with skin or eyes. Do not eat, drink, smoke or chew while handling, and never clear a blocked nozzle by mouth.
  • Keep unprotected people, children and animals away during application and until the label permits re-entry. No numeric re-entry interval is invented here.
  • Do not describe Bipimain as honeybee-safe or universally harmless to beneficial insects. Prevent pollinator exposure and follow every label precaution concerning bees, aquatic organisms, water bodies, drift and runoff.
  • Store locked in the original labelled container, away from food, feed, heat and unauthorised access. Never reuse an empty pesticide container.
  • If exposure or poisoning is suspected, follow the current pack's first-aid directions and obtain medical assistance promptly. Do not invent an antidote.
Use with careSafety Disclaimer

Frequently Asked Questions

What does ADAMA Bipimain contain?

Buprofezin 25% SC, an insect growth regulator in IRAC Group 16.

Does Bipimain kill adult pests instantly?

It is not positioned here as a rapid adult knockdown. ADAMA's verified description focuses on inhibition of moulting in nymphs and larvae, plus effects on oviposition and egg viability.

Which crops are in the checked Indian records?

Cotton, chilli, mango, grapes and rice, each tied to the pest or pest group shown in the table.

Is there one dose per acre or per litre for every crop?

No. The field-crop directions are per hectare with crop-specific water volumes. Only mango uses 1-2 ml/L with 5-15 L water per tree.

Can Bipimain be tank mixed with an adulticide?

No universal mixture is recommended here. Do not combine it with another pesticide, adjuvant or fertiliser unless the current labels or an authorised local recommendation expressly permit that exact mixture.

Is Allfall a resistance rotation after Bipimain?

No. Allfall also contains Buprofezin 25% SC and remains IRAC Group 16. It is a same-active comparison, not a different-mode rotation.
