Syngenta Zevictra TC Termiticide (Imidacloprid 30.5% SC)
The "Invisible Wall" for Total Termite Colony Management.
Syngenta Zevictra TC is a premium, non-repellent termiticide designed to protect your home and buildings from the ground up. Unlike older chemicals that merely repel termites (often leaving gaps), Zevictra TC uses Imidacloprid 30.5% SC to create an undetectable treatment zone. Termites unknowingly enter this zone, get infected, and carry the lethal dose back to the nest, eliminating the entire colony including the queen.
Best For: Pre-construction soil treatment, Post-construction (Drill-Fill-Seal) in existing homes, and protecting woodwork in residential and commercial buildings.
Why Choose This Product? Key Benefits
- ⏱️The Domino Effect: Uses the social nature of termites against them. Infected termites transfer the poison to the Queen and nestmates through grooming and food sharing.
- ?️Non-Repellent Technology: Termites cannot smell or taste the barrier. They don't try to find gaps to bypass it; instead, they pass through it and die.
- ⏳Long-Term Protection: Tested and certified by CBRI (Central Building Research Institute) to provide structural protection for over 5 years.
- ?️Odorless & Safe: Water-based SC formulation emits no foul chemical smell, making it safe and convenient for use in inhabited homes and offices.
- ?High Efficiency (250ml Smart Pack): Highly concentrated. A single 250ml bottle makes ~119 Liters of solution, enough to treat the perimeter of a standard 1000 sq. ft. home.

How It Works: Mode of Action
Zevictra works on the "Lateral Transfer" principle. Since termites cannot detect it, they freely walk through treated soil, becoming carriers of the toxicant.
- Exposure: Forager termites enter the treated soil zone. The chemical sticks to their bodies and is ingested during grooming.
- Transfer: These termites return to the colony and interact with others (grooming and feeding). The chemical is passed to the Queen and soldiers.
- Colony Collapse: The active ingredient attacks the nervous system, causing paralysis and death of the entire nest over time.
This mechanism ensures that even if you miss a small spot during application, the infected termites help bridge the gap.
Target Areas & Pests
| Application Area | Target Pest(s) |
|---|---|
| Building Foundations | Subterranean Termites |
| Flooring & Walls (Post-Construction) | Subterranean Termites |
| Woodwork & Furniture | Drywood & Subterranean Termites |
Dosage & Application Guide
The Golden Rule: Precise dilution is key. Use 2.1 ml of Zevictra per 1 Liter of water for all applications.
Dosage per Application Method
| Method | Dose (ml / Litre) | Application Rate | 250ml Pack Yield | Target Zone |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-Construction (Soil) | 2.1 ml | 5 Liters / sq. meter | ~ 24 sq. meters | Foundation Trenches & Plinth |
| Post-Construction (Drilling) | 2.1 ml | 1 Liter / Hole | ~ 119 Holes | Drilled holes at floor-wall junction |
| Wood Treatment | 2.1 ml | Spray until wet | Variable | Infested frames & furniture |
*Note: For drill-fill-seal, drill holes 12mm diameter at 30cm (1 foot) intervals along the wall.
How to Apply: Best Practices
- Mixing: Premix the concentrated Zevictra with a small amount of water to make a slurry before adding it to the main tank. Stir well.
- Drilling (Post-Const): Drill close to the wall (approx 150mm away) to hit the soil junction where termites enter. Drill depth should be at least 150mm to cross the slab.
- Soil Condition: If the soil is very dry (in pre-construction), water it slightly before applying Zevictra to help the chemical penetrate deep into the ground.
- Safety: Do not let the chemical run off into drains or water bodies. Wear a mask and gloves during mixing.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. Does Zevictra TC have a strong smell?
No. Zevictra TC is a Suspension Concentrate (SC) formulation, which is water-based and virtually odorless. It is superior to solvent-based chemicals like Chlorpyrifos for indoor use.
2. How much solution does the 250ml bottle make?
At the recommended dilution of 2.1 ml per liter, a 250ml bottle produces approximately 119 Liters of ready-to-use termite solution.
3. Can I use it for existing houses?
Yes. You can use the "Drill-Fill-Seal" method. Drill holes at the junction of the wall and floor, and inject the solution to create a barrier under the floor tiles.
4. Is it safe for pets and children?
Once the treated surface is dry, it is relatively safe due to low mammalian toxicity. However, keep pets and children away during the application process and while the surface is wet.
5. Why is it better than Chlorpyrifos?
Chlorpyrifos repels termites, so they find gaps to enter. Zevictra does not repel them; they enter, get infected, and kill the colony. Zevictra is also odorless, whereas Chlorpyrifos has a strong smell.
Safety & Disclaimer
Always read and follow the instructions on the official product label. Zevictra TC is a regulated pesticide. Use personal protective equipment (PPE) during application. Do not contaminate water sources.
